Voting by proxy
Announcement:
In anticipation of the legislative elections to be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, and under the supervision of the National Independent Authority for Elections, the Embassy of Algeria in Santiago informs all citizens residing within its jurisdiction who are registered on the electoral roll that, in accordance with the provisions of Decision No. 158 of May 5th, 2026, which determines the conditions and procedures for issuing a voting proxy, those voters who would be unable to come to the Embassy headquarters to vote may, as well, exercise their right through proxy voting by appointing a single proxy of their choice.
Important Notes:

Both the principal (voter) and the proxy must be registered on the electoral roll.

The preparation of only one proxy per proxy holder is authorized.

The Embassy of Algeria in Santiago will be responsible for verifying and validating the information contained in the this document.
Observation: The legal period established for the preparation of voting proxies extends from Monday, April 20th, to Sunday, June 28th, 2026.
